Religion of Love

The different religions
Are like countries, nations
Islands of the same Ocean
Which separate themselves from each other

Yet their followers breathe the same air
Without borders, milestones in between
All receive the same sunshine
Without fencing it…

What we all need:
Unlimited love
A religion of love
Which unites all men…

Names are boundaries
But God is boundless…

  1. Beautiful post, dear Didi. Love is there, at the heart of all the worldโ€™s religions, and if we choose to look past the differences that exist on the surfaces of them, we can see that they all teach us to find this Loving Oneness with all of humanity. May the day come soon when humanityโ€™s consciousness rises to a level that all people can feel this Truth as their own.

    • Thank you very much, my dear Jen ๐Ÿ™‚
Yes, this understanding is coming when there is consciousness in our hearts – may this consciousness spread all over the world into the hearts of the people, then we will also be aware that our Father is not different, He only has so many names given by different religions, but His name is Nameless, as no name can really express what He is.

      • Yes, Didi, this is it precisely… beyond all names that we humans have given… itโ€™s not that any of the names, from any of the religions, are wrong, itโ€™s simply that all of them are inadequate, because God is so much more than our human minds can conceive. Itโ€™s like the story of the five blind men telling the king about the elephant, when each of the men had felt a different part of the animal… their experience had limited their perception and understanding of โ€œElephantโ€, just as our religious cultures can limit our conceptualizations and names for God…

Yes, when I wrote this poem, I also had this story of the elephant and the blind people touching it on my mind. How can a river describe the Ocean as we are only a drop of it.
So I hope that we all can travers those limitations in us and allow trust and devotion to God instead of losing us in names, in fighting what view is better, has more right and so on – our intellect may think that it can explain everything but this is not the case, we should be the whole picture to know the picture…but as a fragment we cannot even quess… knowing this it can make us more humble and have more respect for the greatness of God ๐Ÿ™‚

May God fill our hearts with more consciousness to travers certain boundaries in us…
