It is not seldom that we show ourselves
As the good, the infallible ones
Looking down on others
Measure them, judge them
It is not seldom that we compare ourselves
With people around us
Loading guilt on their shoulders
To rise above them
It is not seldom that our gaze
Is dyed in Higher and Better
To demonstrate flawlessness
Humiliate our fellow men
It is not seldom that we exhibit
How great and good we are
Catching applause, reward
Carelessly, arrogantly
It is not seldom that we seek victims
Who pay the price
For our fallibilities
That we hide from others
