Injured pride

We are proud of what we know
Proud of what we have achieved
We boast with pride
Woe betide anyone who hurts that pride
We react hurt
We strike back
Without realising
That pride is a relative of our ego

When we put pride aside
We become humble
Begin to understand
What hurts us and why
It is a bitter medicine
To break through the armour of our pride

Are we ready for it?
Are we ready to look beyond our minds?
Instead of clinging to pride?

Theory and practice

Sometimes we speak of universal love
As if we knew what truly universal love is

How often do we speak of love and harmony
But do we know what love and harmony really are?

We pretend that we are already love personified
But these are only our words, not our deeds

Understanding universal love, divine harmony
Requires us to live by it, not just throw down words

To understand what love really is
For this, we must first understand ourselves

Not with words, but with deeds
Changing our point of view

To look at everything from Oneness
That will teach our little crazy ego to be silent….

Fearing death – yes or no?

When someone says he is not afraid of dying
How can he say it if he has not died yet?

Actually, this person shows his hidden fear with it
He gives himself courage, even if he is afraid of death

Our ignorance makes us say things
That we don’t know until we experience it ourselves.

We reassure ourselves and want to stand brave
Especially when we say it in front of others, needing witnesses

There is a way to experience death
Even if you are still alive, it is a practical experience

Meditation that goes beyond body consciousness
Where soul rises to the eye focal point, traveling from there to inner worlds

It is the Surat Shabd yoga practiced by all competent Masters
That leads beyond death

St. Paul said, “I die daily…”

Guru Nanak said, “Learn to die a hundred times a day…”

He who knows death no longer fears….

Death, where is your victory? / Death, where is your sting?

Making decisions

Between good and bad
There is a small bridge
It is our choice
Which way we take

Sometimes we do not know
If good is bad
And bad is good
We may decide wrongly

We are convinced our side is correct
Are not really weighing pros and contras
Does my decision only help me
Or does it help others or both

Injustice cannot be justified by silence
For silence means consent
Do we condemn when we speak the truth
If thereby enlightenment is procured?

To be accused of condemnation
Is it a tool of defense, of attack
To oppose the truth
To refuse to believe it?

Sometimes we have to decide
Even if the mind is hurt
But the soul remains untouched
Only pride feels hurt

Between good and bad
There is a small bridge
It is our choice
Which way we take…

Our inner room

There is a light switch in each of us,
But we are too blind to find it in ourselves,
To turn it on
So we walk in blindness, darkness
