As long as our mind rules
Over our soul
It causes destruction
Is like a wildfire
Untamed, uncontrolled

Mind fights against mind
Separates instead unites
Leads wars, is selfish
Is greedy, egoistic
Wants power, wants money
All wishes to be fulfilled

Mind is self-destructive
Far from love and respect
Is full of disharmony
Able to change feelings
From one second to the other
Is only the shadow
Of our soul

Mind is a monster
Hidden in us
As long uncontrolled
Policy is only born
From our mind
It only searches
For own advantages

Consciousness means
To be aware of our thoughts
Aware of our doings
To know the consequences ahead
To know where it leads to
When following the voice
Of our mind

Mind is the illness in us
The devil in us
If it is tamed
It can be a good servant
To support us
As a tool of the soul

Let us make the step

Without thinking
Without being aware of them?

How many actions do we commit
Without asking
If they hurt
Do any harm?

How much convenience, ego
Is in every thought
In every deed
In every word?

How much honesty, insincerity
Is in us
In the expression of our life
That divests our inner being?

To question ourselves
May be the first step
For a new life
A conscious life
