That come and go unbridled
Without thinking
Without being aware of them?
How many actions do we commit
Without asking
If they hurt
Do any harm?
How much convenience, ego
Is in every thought
In every deed
In every word?
How much honesty, insincerity
Is in us
In the expression of our life
That divests our inner being?
To question ourselves
May be the first step
For a new life
A conscious life
The answer lies deep
Embedded in us
In the silence of our being…
