Yearning of the soul
“O God, Your attention reaches far and wide, everywhere.
Millions of souls are longing for Your blessing – they are standing at Your door to get Your Naam.
But You give Naam only to those who love God from the core of their heart.”
All the disciple needs he can get just by surrendering fully at the feet of the Master. When the disciple surrenders to Him, Master is happy, for He sees: “My child who was sent into the world with many promises and got lost in the fair of the world, has now returned to me.” Then, full of joy, the Masterpower takes the child to the place where His work is done so that the child may get further lessons. That is called Satsang. Through His word and blessing He dyes the soul in His own colour so that it may never leave Him again, for Master wants to keep His child close to Him. The soul then knows, “My Father is highest in the whole universe, no one is equal to Him!”
When the soul gets these blessings, the disciple prays, “O Master, take away from me lust, anger, greed, attachment, and ego and give me the real life. I want to live at Your feet forever!” Inside, reaching at the gate to His throne, the soul recognizes Master’s abode as the treasure of Naam. Seeing Him distributing this treasure, the soul says, “Master generously distributes this unique treasure of Naam. I need this blessing from Him to cross the ocean of life.”
Weeping the soul begs, “O Master, do not leave me! If You are with me, all troubles and sorrows are gone and all attachments to the world are cut off. Under Your shelter and protection alone I can live, otherwise I am in the grip of the five thieves. When You are with me, the five thieves run away. Keep my face always turned to You! You have granted me Your help again and again, so I can overcome all those problems.” The soul further cries, “How great a burden You took on Your shoulders, how great the power You give us to cross the barriers! Without Your help we could hardly ever reach Your heart. Grant me the grace to sit under the shade of that tree (of Your grace) or plant this tree in front of my house. Branches and leaves of this tree should be made of truth, so that I may relish its fruits.” I am crying before You on behalf of myself, beseeching You not to send me into the wheel of life again.” A doctor can only be called who knows about the patient’s suffering. The soul says, “Take away from me lust, anger, greed, attachment, and ego, and give me the knowledge of Brahm (which cannot be gained unless one lives a pure life) and Bhakti (devotion to the Master). All that lies in Your hand.”
The soul knows that if the disciple has attained this knowledge and gets Master’s attention, even the gods and goddesses bow down before him. The soul says, “O God, Your attention reaches far and wide, everywhere. Millions of souls are longing for Your blessing – they are standing at Your door to get Your Naam. When Guru Nanak went to Multan, a city which was full of Saints, many, many Saints there, so-called Saints. Guru Nanak went there. Others also went there, but Guru Nanak went for a special purpose. His purpose was to realise them the very truth for what purpose they were coming. So when Guru Nanak went there, they offered one cup full of milk up to the brim. Guru Nanak didn’t take it, He put the flower on it and sent it back. It meant like this: “I have come over here, but will live here like a flower – I will not disturb, I will give the smell – my purpose is different.” …
The competency between the Sant and Param Sant differs – Sant Kirpal Singh

On His last Punjab-tour in October 1973, Sant Kirpal Singh visited the Agriculture Farm located near Nawanshar. There was one room made of mud and one Pacca-room beside a little room for the water-pump. Master stayed there nearly for fifteen minutes. He took water from the water-pump and a grain of rice. Then He blessed Kirpal Sagar which now has been built beside the Farm.
With due permission of the Master, the name Manav Kendra was changed to Kirpal Sagar before Sant Kirpal Singh left His physical body. Kirpal means ‘Grace’, Sagar means ‘Ocean’ – thus the name Kirpal Sagar means ‘Ocean of Grace’.
Master wants from heart that everyone should do the work (selfless service): Everyone should put his head and heart to do that work. It is His earnest desire, a desire from His heart, because He loves each child and wants to develop everyone. He is not having any connection with us on the physical level, but His contact is direct with the soul.
So blessed are those who are chosen for this purpose; they are very fortunate. Master always laid stress upon this subject (the importance of selfless service). Because in the lives of all competent Masters and their devotees, there was only one way: To live and to do for Him! And this is the ultimate goal. If the disciple is obliged to the Master, he says, “I have to do whatever my Master would tell me, it is my highest duty to obey His order.”

Background of Kirpal Sagar
The place which Sant Kirpal Singh has chosen for Kirpal Sagar has also a background which first was not known to us. When we started the construction work, people from the surroundings came to us, and one of them told that an old person had been living there whose name was Chattar Singh; he was considered to be mad. To that place the cows were taken for grazing, and he used to sit along with the boys there. He never would return to his home, he stayed overnight in the forest, which was full of snakes. There was also a certain animal which always attacks man. It is not injurious, but its teeth are very sharp. One time, when taking rest, he was bitten by this animal and his nose was bleeding. Those boys wanted to take him to the doctor nearby for dressing the wound, but he said, “No, there is a hospital, I have got it dressed over there.”
Sometimes the boys used to say, “Old man, you are smelling, you should take a bath.” He would reply, “Yes, here is a Sarovar, a holy tank, I’m always taking a bath there.” When they offered him to share their food, he answered, “No, there is a big common kitchen here, I always take the food from here.” All the time he used to tell such things, and he even said, “There is a big temple, a house of God.” So all people called him a mad person, who is seeing things where other people don’t see anything. Now those persons from the neighbourhood believe that he was a holy man.
So, holy places are already fixed by the Masterpower. Kings, premiers, and rich persons can create cities, but holy places are built only by the Masters, they are built in the omnipresence of the Masterpower. The guidance of the Master continues every moment, and in spite of many problems in the beginning the commissioned Manav Kendra could be constructed.

It belongs to all human beings of the world
Kirpal Sagar is a common ground for all people to get together, irrespective of caste, colour, creed, religion or country. It belongs to all human beings of the world. In Kirpal Sagar no religion but the basic teaching of all religions is taught, which is one and the same and has been written with one opinion.
To keep the various outer rituals and rites of the different religions with their basic signification is no bar to true religion. Every religion teaches the universal teaching of the universal link among all human beings – the Brotherhood of Men under the Fatherhood of God. Religion is a very smooth pattern and a way to realize one’s self, if one rises above the shackles of the religion.
Kirpal Sagar is neither being built in the memory of Sant Kirpal Singh, nor is it a personal wish. It was the wish of Sant Kirpal Singh which is being fulfilled by all devoted disciples of Him.
Moreover, who learns and yearns or who wants to learn and yearn can also work in Kirpal Sagar, as it is the work of God, done by man but inspired by God. This is the highest but the rarest chance that ever comes in the life of a human being.
