Outside Shining – Inside Fouling

How many angles and corners are there in us
Where chaos and disorder reign
Where dirt accumulates
Dust is setting down?

How many impurities are in us
Which we have neglected
Falling into oblivion
Where no external soap helps?

On the outside nice and clean
Well-groomed appearance among witnesses
Inside without hygiene
There’ s no one watching

But inner dirt
Moves motives on the outside
Hidden, concealed
Determines our thoughts, actions.

Our internal residence
Like a mirror:
What is inside is outside
What is outside is inside

We should be dust and germ-free
That the inner dirt
Does not become external dirt
With the soap of innocence and honesty

We cannot hide from ourselves nor from God…
