Honest protests?

We are all affected
By the Coronavirus spread around the world
But there are people
They don’t wear masks, see no reason for it
They protest against restrictions

When we were little
Vaccinations were the order of the day
It was normal to be vaccinated
Protests did not rise
We didn’t have the media

Today we have social media
Alongside the traditional media
Today the internet dominates
Fakes and hoaxes everywhere
Influence from all sides

Today’s man does not know
Where to stand
What to believe
So he blindly accepts this and that
Is easily persuaded

Conspiracy theorists, lateral thinkers come into play
They replace doctors and scientists with their opinions
Know the truth, are fanatical
Don’t get vaccinated – that’s still ok
What is not ok is that they do not wear masks

Is it bad to wear a mask
When it protects others?
Not to wear it is irresponsible
Shows the colour of our mind, our ego
We should see the reality in the intensive care units….

Maybe one of us is the next
That the virus will strike
But then our remorse may come too late
In case to die from it
Or get seriously ill

When the bitter realization awakens:
To have protested hiddenly behind half-truths,
To cover up our own ego
To make ourselves look good in front of others
When the wave of truth overtakes us….

Is service to man a foreign word?

May right understanding take its place in our hearts….

Study proves very high corona protection with FFP2 masks

FFP2 masks offer extremely high protection against corona infection. However, it depends on the correct way of wearing them, as researchers from the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organisation in Göttingen report according to a study. According to the study, if an infected person and a healthy person meet in an indoor space at a short distance, the risk of infection is a good one per thousand (0.1 percent) even after 20 minutes. The prerequisite is the correct fit of the FFP2 or KN95 mask, writes the team around Institute Director Eberhard Bodenschatz in the “Proceedings” of the US National Academy of Sciences (“PNAS”).

With poorly fitting FFP2 masks, on the other hand, the risk of infection in the same scenario is around four percent, the team calculates. For optimal protection, the nose clip must be shaped into a “rounded W” so that it presses laterally on the nostrils. With surgical masks, a good fit is still enough to reduce the risk of infection to a maximum of ten percent.

The researchers calculated the risk of infection by combining various factors such as particle sizes, physics during exhalation, various mask types, and risk of inhaling coronaviruses. “In daily life, the actual probability of infection is certainly ten to a hundred times smaller,” Bodenschatz is quoted as saying in a statement from the Institute. This is because the breathing air that flows out of the mask at the edges is diluted. However, the researchers had wanted to calculate the risk as conservatively as possible. “If even the greatest theoretical risk is small under these conditions, you are on the completely safe side under real conditions,” says Bodenschatz.

In contrast to this is the result for encounters between two people who do not wear masks: if in this case, a healthy person stands in the breathing air of an infected person for a few minutes at a distance of three meters, he or she is very likely to become infected, the researchers say. Bodenschatz emphasizes: “Our results show once again that wearing masks in schools and also, in general, is a good idea.”

Coronavirus: An appeal to Humanity

Let us all stand together
Overcoming differences through our heart
Whether rich or poor
No matter what colour we are
What religion we belong to
What country we come from

This virus affects us all
No one is spared
Spreads fear and terror everywhere
But it can unite us
Make us conscious: We are all one
Are all humans, a big family

This virus gives us the understanding
That nothing is certain
That everything changes
What is today is different tomorrow
But it can wake us up:
To treat each other as human beings

Let us conquer terror and fear
Walking in humanity and respect
Help each other, make sacrifices
Coming together from man to man
Anchoring love as the strongest force
And hold us from heart to heart

In the end, we all can come out as winners
When we have learned our lesson:
We all are human beings, no better, no worse
Just a big human family
