Quality counts – by Sant Kirpal Singh

Many questions come
Addressed to ourselves:
How has my life been so far?
What have I done wrong?
What can I improve in the future?
So much dirt in my thoughts
Garbage in words and deeds
Pyramid top of a now and here
Time to take stock
Who I was, who I am
How many people have I hurt
Including myself?
In the hamster wheel of equal deeds
Bad habits?
Shame on myself
Every thought, every word, every action
Has a heavyweight
When they hurt
It’s banging against the walls
Of one’s own heart
The scale shows
Where we stand
Honesty and confession may help
To cleanse us from dirt
To become a better person…
Time to bring about the change in us…

Some build relation
On cleverness
Some choose power
As their means
Some use violence
To achieve their goals
Some bath in fakes
To stand in light
Some are tricky
Behave like vampires
Some fill their pockets
With dark money
Some escape
Create virtual worlds
Some are greedy
Fight for more
Some are hurt
React as bumerang
Some are jealous
See ghosts everywhere
Some flatter
To win advantages
Some do business
With life and death
Some lose themselves
Search their place
Some love God
Not for their own sake
But for God sake
Some share and give
Their last shirt
Some do and live
Not for themselves
But in service for others
Some are conscious
See the world in flames
Give their life
For a better world
Lets peep behind the curtain
To which motives we belong to…

Selfless service
Unconditional giving and sharing
Deep sincerity
Yearning to be One
In the garden of love
Thinking of the Beloved
Heart-filling, permanently
With true devotion
Rays of sunlight
Turning into sunshine
Two hearts become one
Adopt the colour of unity
Smell of roses and jasmine
Timeless togetherness
Life in love
In thankfulness to God
My love to Him
As He resides
In all and everything
To love God in everyone…

He, as a political leader, never lies
He always speaks the truth
He never points his finger at others
He does not make fun of others
He radiates peace and serenity
He insults nobody and is always polite
He does not seek the faults of others
He never twists the words
He is reliable and predictable
He is a living example for everyone
He never shows weaknesses
He is very educated, shares his knowledge with others
He is always humble and modest
He never speaks nonsense
He regularly pays a lot of taxes
He never praises himself, the others do
He promises many things and keeps his word
He is there for everyone and is unselfish for himself
He never exaggerates, underestimates
How nice that we have such leaders
Our world will definitely become better as a result

When laws are broken by several people
One speaks of accomplices
Can an entire party be considered as accomplices?
Sad, but true, if members prevent real justice
If they decide as majority
What is right and what is wrong…
Then there must be something wrong in the system
Leaving them a backdoor open to sustain their power
To prevent the truth to come on the table…

An excerpt from the book: “Crown of life” – written by Sant Kirpal Singh
To cultivate and develop the five cardinal virtues which constitute the bedrock of spirituality.
These are:
1. Ahimsa or Non-injury to all living creatures, and more so to fellow beings, by thoughts, words and deeds the injunction in this behalf being: Injure not a human heart for it is the seat of God. We must have respect for others feelings and tolerance for others opinions.
2. Satayam or Truthfulness: As God is Truth, we must practice Truth in all our dealings. If Truth resides in every heart, it must manifest itself in life and action. Be true to thyself and it must follow as night the day, thou canst not be false to any man. We must therefore avoid falsehood at all costs. It includes, besides downright lies, hypocrisy and dishonesty, suppresso veri [suppression of truth], and suggestio falsi [suggestions of false ideas].
3. Brahmcharya or life of Chastity: It includes continence in thoughts, words and deed-houghts within, for Chastity is life and sexuality is death. If we want to tread the Path of Life Eternal, we must be chaste and clean both within and without.
4. Prem or love for all living creatures and more so for all human beings. Let there be hatred for none. The entire manifestation is the handiwork of God and must therefore be loved and respected. He who does not know love, cannot know God.
5. Nishkam Seva or Selfless Service to all living creatures in sorrow and distress. If one limb of the body is in torture, the other limbs can have no rest. Service before self should therefore be our motto in life.
Do we give a like
To get a like?
Do we give a like
With unsure feelings?
Do we give a like
With fast fingers?
Do we give a like
Because of sympathy?
Do we give a like
To bloggers preferred?
Do we give a like
To be liked?
Do we give a like
Because of true feelings?
To give a like in honesty
Without pretending?
Whatever motives – of any kind
To find the reason there behind
To make us just aware
Did we play or were we fair…

Is it not contradictory
To be rich and lead a nation?
One cannot lead people only through money
But through humanity…

How much nonsense goes out into the world
Out of stupidity, ignorance
Acting and posing
Out of greed for power, money, reputation
To achieve advantages
By a selfish attitude
To be better than others
To instill arrogance
Overconfidence
Dripping vanity
Condemnation
Unfair usage of elbows
Let us see the good in people
Because bad things create bad things
While good things sow good things
Therefore, we have to be more honest with ourselves…

In the labyrinth of life
Dead ends are entered
With pride as a drive
Manipulated, mentored
False sights ensnared
In the light of others
Confirmed, impaired
Trap for sisters, brothers
A barb in the heart
To spread illusion
Mind of the art
Black blood infusion
Houses built on sandy grounds
With bricks of charming words
That leave the truth in wounds
To raise illusive worlds
Flattered ways prepared
Where feet are lost
With filth besmeared
The light in frost
Dressed in uniforms
Following the cross
Of worn out norms
In ignorance and loss
A chorus of praise
Along the sky
A costly price
So why…?

To be honest
Is a matter of consciousness
To know our own mistakes
A process – walking into the depth
It is easy to say: “I am honest”
How many things we have overseen
Have not considered as honesty, dishonesty
In our daily life?
Yes, I am honest according of what I know
About my present state of mind
Present knowledge of myself
But what about the ignorance of myself?
Then I have missed many things
To consider as honesty, dishonesty
So walking in ourselves
Is to discover, to know ourselves – more and more…
What I claimed yesterday as honesty
May be today under a broadened horizon
So we bear honesty on our shoulders
To get lighter and lighter from ourselves…
The more we find us
The more we lose us
Detached from the world and even ourselves
To become pure in our hearts…
