All good wishes to everyone
The problem is, that nowadays all people say: “Here is the seat of the soul, meditate over here!” – between and behind the two eye-brows. But it is a big problem that nobody really knows where the seat of the soul or the Single Eye is. What happens at the time of death? Our attention, the outer expression of the soul or consciousness, withdraws from the lower extremities, and transcending the throat ganglion, it goes to the root of the two eye-brows. From there it takes upward-trend, then it takes inward-trend, and where the eyes are crossing, there is the seat of the soul. To say, “Here is the seat of the soul” is easy, but to reach there and to locate it there is very difficult, because just very close to the seat of the soul, a little bit below, there is the seat of the mind and below there is the seat of the intellect.
What do most people do when they meditate? First, they have to overcome the intellect. Maybe they can overcome it, but they cannot overcome the mind. When we create a wish, our mind at once identifies with it. Mind in this physical body is astral.
Everyone has wishes upon wishes, and our mind identifies with them. So when we create a wish to see something, at once our mind identifies with it and will give us the light over there. Mind will show the light at once, whereas the experience taught by Christ and all the competent Masters starts from the darkness and then leads to the holy light.
Dr. Harbhajan Singh
We dream life
In a time-space continuum
Are separated from the whole
On the level of senses
Acting and thinking
Trying to conquer the world
Make it our own
Shape and form it
According to our wishes and ideas
As an egocentric worldview
Of intellect, ego, and mind….
When the heart has only little warmth
The best intellect is of no use…
Man consists of three parts: the body, the mind, and the soul. In spirituality, mind is defined not only as emotions and feelings but also consists of intellect, the self-assertive ego, our imaginations, and wishes, as well as the stored karmic impressions of this life and all previous lives.
The whole world is in the grip and mercy of the mind. Mind is made of matter, it takes the energy from the soul and has acquired astral form in the body and works with four different phases:
It absorbs the attention (the attention is the outer expression of the soul, the soul is working outside through the attention) The result of the attention i.e. its activities. It differentiates through the intellect and affects the intellect in its own way, draws inferences out of differentiation
The mind keeps the man busy through reading, writing, feeling, emotion, drawing inferences on its own way. It also creates desires and identifies itself through the senses and sense organs. Temporarily it has made the soul blind and the soul does not discriminate since the procedure, the mind has developed, is very tedious and uneven.
Sant Kirpal Singh
When we allow our mind to control us
To follow the tracks of our wide-ranging feelings
To follow the delusions of our intellect
We stand in our own shadow
A realized man is one who has already solved the mystery of this life. He can give you a demonstration about how to rise above body-consciousness and how to silence the senses, mind, and intellect. When these sensory powers are put to rest, the soul is able to rise up and with the grace of the Guru, she gets united with the Over-Soul. If you recognize yourselves, your entire angle will change as well as your attitude to life, you then will recognize who your lifelong comrade really is and who controls the machine of the body – the same power that controls the entire creation.
Sant Kirpal Singh Ji
One cannot observe oneself
If one does not stand above oneself
As long as one is locked in mind and ego
Has not reached his own Self
Only in freedom
In the silence and absence
Of mind, ego, and intellect
The soul knows its Self
Thoughts and feelings
Are only symptoms
Expression of the intellect
Of the mind and the ego
The soul is free
From such symptoms…
