For the sake of power and money

Those whose pockets are overflowing
with money and power,
are also full of lies and dishonesty;
they deceive themselves and the people;
they selfishly think only of themselves first
do everything to maintain their power,
to keep control over others;
they are not to be envied nor admirable,
since they have lost their honour
for the sake of power, money, and glory,
ready to pay any price.

When the night turns pitch black,
people realise what daylight means.
