Ego flattered by pride

Pride in knowledge,
in achievements,
in one’s own deeds,
only strengthens the ego.

How deeply entangled we are
in this dilemma.

For a large part,
we live in this ignorance,
remaining in this mental prison
that seduces and abducts us.
