Decadence of the societies

Devaluation of all values.
What was good yesterday,
is bad today;
what was still valuable yesterday,
is worthless today.
People are drifting aimlessly,
caught up in the material desires
of their selfish needs and egoistic wishes.

What does honour mean to them today:
To lie, to puff up their ego?
To deceive for the sake of gain?
To run after illusions?
To bathe in anger and injustice?
To twist truths and facts?
Believe in lies?
Slandering the truth?

Man, you have to be careful,
that you don’t lose your last shirt
that bears the name: humanity.

We are experiencing the decay
of human values.

Lies and Truth

Decay of human values;
decadence in society;
lies are instruments of use
for personal gain,
are the order of the day,
are believed more than the truth.

People run behind conspiracy theories,
give their faith in the media’s tug-of-war
in twisted truths,
fabricated facts, disinformation.

Lies roam the land,
to harm others,
to lift themselves up.
Conscience no longer plays a role;
Truth is just a plaything
of mendacious forces, lost faces,
replaced by untruthful masks.

The liar is chosen as the hero
and whoever lies best,
in quality and quantity,
is given an enthusiastic pat on the back.

But in the end, the truth triumphs,
because in the end this evil
reveals itself…
