Understand Suffering

The more we suffer,
the more we fight against it,
swim against the current,
the more we slip
into the swamp of depression,
because we are not in control
over our self-created suffering
that hits us like an arrow
from the past
as an echo of past thoughts,
words and deeds.

The more we move in the swamp
the deeper we sink
in the mud and mire of life.

So let’s keep a calm attitude,
accept pain and suffering
with the knowledge:
As it echoes out
it echoes in.

Slowly we will realise
that everything has its price,
is a matter of cause and effect,
action and reaction.

When we are no longer the doer
no longer identify ourselves
for good and bad deeds
words and thoughts,
who then is the doer?

Then everything happens according to His Will,
the One in All and All in One,
no longer our mind and ego stands in-between.
