Today I cry out of pity
for those who kill and are killed
with the discord in the world
where hatred and violence take hold

Today I weep for you, dear God,
who has to watch how people treat each other
with war in their hearts
because of their ignorance, brutalised minds

For you, the Great One, are in all
and everything is in you.
You see how brothers and sisters
Separate from each other full of hatred

Separate themselves from You
in ignorance, arrogance and deep selfishness.

You must be an Ocean
to bear so much dirt.
