Spiritual dulling

The price of technology:
Not only dependence,
but also spiritual dulling.

Impacts on ourselves

Insults and hurtful words and actions
reflect the character of the person
from whom it originates,
causing harm to him- herself
without realising it.

It is an unmistakable sign
of unconsciousness and ignorance
as a prisoner in the claws of the mind.

Enemy not by nature

An enemy is not an enemy by nature;
it is declared an enemy,
usually to gain advantage
or as a response
being made an enemy.

One-sided information

One-sided information is poison
for justice, credibility and objectivity.
Trust cannot grow
when it is interspersed
with disinformation and fake facts.

And what about those
who do not have access,
who cannot decide or compare freely?

Unfortunately, manipulation
and brainwashing reign there.
Propaganda steals their clear vision,
sows hatred and false illusions
built on lies sold as truths
that remain unchecked.

Behind the façade

How crazy, war is declared
out of self-interest.
Enemies are created,
walls of hatred are erected,
without really knowing the ‘enemy,’
with reasons beyond reason,
just to fulfil one’s own desires.

An entire nation is caught up
in this maelstrom
of hostility and hatred,
yet it is our own mind
that are directed against others.

Shouldn’t it be directed
against ourselves for once?
Instead of seeking blame in others?
To distract from our own selfishness?
From unfulfilled desires?

We are slaves to our own minds
and have not yet understood this.
