Where do we stand?

Technically, we have achieved a lot,
both positively and negatively, of course,
depending on how we use it,
but our spiritual capacities:
humanity, understanding, peaceful coexistence,
love and help without expecting anything in return,
are still in their infancy,
there is still much to be desired,
because it is our ego, our greed
for more and more, for power and money,
ambitions that undermine us internally
and take away the food for the soul.

It is not the cruel world,
it is us cruel people
who make it appear
as we currently see it.
It is up to us.
