A fake world

I look into the abyss of deception and illusion.
The world dances in fictitious clothes,
plays theatre on an interactive stage.

Where there is deception, there is intention behind it,
To steer us in the dictates of apparent goals,
as Gold and silver promises

Pretended reality, dreams without life
that capture us, play with us,
intoxicate us, convince us, bait us.

Who or what deceives us,
with what reason behind it?
So that we don’t see ourselves, understand ourselves?

So that we do not rise up
out of deception and illusion,
not recognise the truth?

So that we find ourselves
only on the stage of space and time,
as beings without being beings.

Every illusion, every deception reveals
the traitor, this drama life,
as an acted game, a dreamlike reality.

We are not the body, nor matter,
we are veiled spirits, eternal life
that has yet to discover itself.

May we wake up from this nightmare.

Mind – the animal in us

The mind is like a wild animal,
which can only be tamed
by the grace of God.

Longing for the Creator
is like a prayer,
surely heard by Him.

The scary game with our feelings

How often are we manipulated,
caught in a maelstrom
of uncontrolled feelings,
take a side on one side,
which we are led to believe is good
to let our emotions tremble.
They incite us to hate,
depending on the propaganda,
which role, which theatre
evil takes on.

We take a side in films,
develop resentment and anger,
when evil challenges us,
to turn us into ‘protectors’,
to participate emotionally in the fight.

The same orchestration in real life:
One side creates images of the enemy,
to make us believe – we are the good guys,
the other side are the enemies, the bad guys,
to turn against them with hatred,
staged through propaganda and cunning,
a manipulation of the collective human being,
to fulfil personal wishes for individuals.

We are easy prey to this construct
and enter this spiral:
Of hate and violence,
not realising how we are being controlled,
walk blindly into the trap of:
Action and reaction,
Judge and punish,
with feelings of revenge:
death and destruction,
locked in our own feelings.

When we ourselves become victims
of violence and hatred,
are we still then the good guys…?

Our purpose of life?

Is our purpose of life:
To wage wars and be celebrated as a great general?
Amassing wealth and possessions to buy happiness?
To gain recognition from many fellow human beings?
To brag with pride about all the great things we have done?
To seek refuge in food and drink?
To fulfil all our wishes?
Stomping on people to achieve our goals?
To move from one pleasure to another?

Or are these all just outward appearances,
illusions that disguise our inner selves,
the true meaning of life?

When we leave, we can’t take anything with us
and all our wishes burst like soap bubbles.

So what about our meaning of life…?

There is a way.
The true Saints have walked it…
